Chessgames.com is the best site to reach the games played in the master or above level. You can play out those games, analyse and discuss in the forums.
Chessbomb.com is a very good free site to see live games being played in the most important tournaments like Tata Steel, Tal Memorial, World Championship etc. In March there will the Candidates Tournament and the matches can be seen there. I recommend you to follow them there with other fellow chess enthusiasts.
As for Youtube channels, I recommend the following: Mato Jelic, Online Chess Lessons, Chess Network & Chessexplained.
I started playing late but I have the done the things above in the last 2 years and my blitz and rapid ratings have increased to 1600-1700 level. Good luck!

There are lots of vids on youtube for top chess matches with analysis, just type in the names of the players: for the 2012 world championship it's Anand and Gelfand, but also for top level chess games try typing Ivanchuk, Morozevich, Svidler, Carlsen, Shirov, Kramnik, Adams, Polgar, Leko, Topalov, Nakamura, Short - all these players are v strong and currently active, there are many others but these lot should get you started.
