I am looking for a game but I don't know what it is called.
Its a 2D game where you create lines to sepertate (or put in a spall spcae) these bounce balls.
If the balls touch you or your line while you are traveling across the board then you die.
What is this game called?

There have been a lot of iterations of this game. It's like asking what that one game is called where you build towers and they try to shoot invaders before they get to some destination.

I don't know what the original iteration of this game might have been called or if the name had anything to do with the gameplay. I guess I can help someone else out by giving a better description.

The game takes place inside an enclosure and objects that you are supposed to corral in a pen bounce around. You click on a spot and then a direction and a line will extend gradually from that spot to the edge of the enclosure, at which point it will form a wall. If one of the mcguffins hits the extending wall before it reaches another wall, you lose. You create boxes by forming more lines off of the walls you've created. The final box must be a certain size before the thing is considered contained and you can advance.

The original game of this genre is called Qix. The object of the game is to enclose as much of the playing field as possible. You must avoid the qix (the thing in the center whose edges bounce off of the still-open part of the field) while drawing your boxes to capture the playing field. You must also avoid the sparx (the sparkly things that float around the edge of the open area) when you are not drawing the boxes. You must capture 85 percent of the play area to advance to the next level. Each successive level has more qix and/or sparx to avoid. You get points for drawing your boxes (bigger boxes give you much higher scores), and you have the option to draw your shapes slowly for double score. You get bonus points for finishing the level and for each percentage point above the 85 percent required to advance. Is this what you're looking for?

You may also want to check some of the titles on the Popcap Games Website ( www.popcap.com ) for similar games. Banana Bugs, Cosmic Bugs, and any other title that ends with the word Bugs have a similar theme. - LJS
