Can someone explain to me how to play Guess Who ? The game board?

Well, i have to make a board game well re-create a game for a book and i picked to re-create guess who,but i'm not quite sure how to play like i kn who to play but i don't understand some of the like contents cause it has 48 face cards and 24 mystery cards..? like what are those things please someone help!!

There are two boards with 24 faces each on them, the same faces on each board. Each player draws a mystery person card. The goal of the game is to guess the other players person card first. You do this by asking yes or no questions about characteristics of the 24 people on each game board. ex: male/ female? Bald? glasses? You can then eliminate all of the people and narrow it down to just the persons card to guess and win the game.
