I am trying to make a paper RPG to pass the time in some of my more boring lectures. I need an alternate because I would get caught, and piss off everyone around me by rolling dice.

At home, take a piece of paper and some dice and make many dice rolls and write them down in columns. When you're playing a game, pick a column at random and use the dice rolls in order. (Be honest, don't cheat by skipping a "bad" roll.)
Even if lectures are boring, you need to pay attention because you never can tell what's going to be on the test.

You could use a spinner
Cut out a hexagon and stick a piece of matchstick through the centre; number each of the edges of the hexagon 1 to 6.
Spin it.
You now have a random number generator, you may alter it to a square for 4 sided dice or an icosagon for 20 sided dice.
A spinner is silent and does not look like dice.

You can cut up pieces of equally sized paper and number them 1-6 and pick one per dice roll.

If you've got a smartphone, there are dicerolling apps.
